Lets be real, when it comes to Disney Channel vs. Nickelodeon, it’s like two different worlds. Both are great in their own ways and both definitely try to steal each others thunder sometimes, but when it comes to content or shows themselves, things are prettyyyy different in my opinion. Back in the day when Disney had (dare I say it balls), they were similar in quality content in terms of maturity levels, but one thing they definitely did not have in common were their Halloween or spooky themed shows. Yes there were plenty of scary Disney Channel TV Episodes, but Nickelodeon takes the cake on scary. So lets walk down memory lane with some of the craziest and spookiest Nickelodeon show episodes you’ll be dying to watch this spooky szn!
15. The Amanda Show, Halloween Edition, (Season 1, Episode 4)
BRING OUT THE ~SPOOKY~ DANCING LOBSTERS. Nuff said.
14. Spongebob Squarepants, Graveyard Shift, (Season 2, Episode 16)
IT’S THE HASH-RINGING, THE SLASH-SPRINGING, THE HASH SLINGING SLASHER! I have a feeling this post is going to have a lot of yelling through capitalization. One thing I definitely know for sure though is that Spongebob should definitely not pull an all-nighter again, the Krusty Krabs’s walls always ooze green slime, and that poor kid deserved a job interview he even brought his own spatula.
13. Spongebob Squarepants, One Krabs Trash, (Season 3, Episode 5)
Smittywerbenyankermanjensin HE WAS NUMBER ONEEEEE. And don’t you forget it! Honestly one of the strangest Spongebob episodes in my opinion, and that says a lot because lets be real Spongebob is a strange strange (but amazing) show. Basically just good ol Krabs wanting his money money money money money and in order to do so seems to bring the entire Bikini Bottom graveyard back to life just to fight over an ugly hat. Interesting….
12. Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, The Switching Hour, (Season 1, Episode 1)
What a way to start off a show about Monsters than having the monsters turn human for a day. I never watched this show it stressed me out as a kid. That is all.
11. Catdog, Catdogula, (Season 3, Episode 19)
I had a strange love-hate relationship when it came to Catdog. Some episodes use to competely freak me out and others I loved. I mean lets be real the entire concept of the show was eerie in a way plus did anyone ever see the episode where they find their “parents.” Weird stuff man.
10. Drake and Josh, Alien Invasion, (Season 3, Episode 17)
They decide to get back at Megan (“finally”), by making Megan believe shes been in contact with aliens. They even went to far as to dress up as aliens to scare her, only to then be surprised by “actual” aliens. Turns out Megan knows all of the tricks Drake & Josh think they have up their sleeves.
9. Hey Arnold!, Arnold’s Halloween, (Season 2, Episode 7)
Twist on the classic War of the Worlds story.
8. Hey Arnold!, Ghost Bride, (Season 5, Episode 14)
GUYS. O. K. A. Y. I DID NOT SLEEP FOR A SOLID WEEK AFTER THIS. Just kidding, I did (in my parents bed). I bet my mom remembers this stint of time too because this ish horrified me. Basically a ghost bride literally chops up her sis and fiance after she caught them canoodlin then kills herself after being seem humming the wedding song. Like nope. Now the ghost haunts the area and if you hear her you’re as good as dead. Hey, Arnold, man, why ya gotta do this to little me? It also probably didn’t help that one of my friends who knew I was so afraid of the episode said the bride only kills blondes. COOL GUYS THANKS FOR THE NIGHTMARES.
7. iCarly, iScream On Halloween, (Season 1, Episode 7)
Carly and the gang learn that there is a supposedly haunted apartment within their building. The apartment of 13B (ooooo). Turns out in the end it isn’t haunted after all and they’re all basically just breaking and entering into this old ladies apartment.
6. Rugrats & Aaahh!! Real Monsters Crossover, Ghost Story, (Rugrats Episode 103)
The crossover of a lifetime when the Rugrats run into a much of well uh MONSTERS. Ahhh….
5. Rugrats, Candy Bar Creep Show, (Season 1, Episode 9)
The kiddos are really confused as to why their parents have been switched out with monsters and why there’s candy everywhere. That is until good old cousin Angelica tells the babies straight and explain ‘her’ concept of Halloween. So in typical Rugrats fashion, the parents are oblivious and the babies find a way to go trick-or-treating for themselves!
4. Zoey 101, Haunted House, (Season 2, Episode 4)
For those of you who know the show, whenever Logan is put in charge of anything, things tend to go out of hand. So when Zoey and Chase feel that Logan’s haunted house for Halloween is too scary, they decide to get Dustin in on the prank to teach Logan a lesson. Meanwhile Michael is being hunted down by a crazy French couple who feel he needs to go to a hospital. Weird stuff man.
3. Zoey 101, The Curse of PCA, (Season 3, Episode 17)
Basically the gang finds out someone supposedly died at PCA and haunts the joint all of the sudden. The only main part of this that I remember is Zoey breaks her ankle and gets terrorized by this ghost that somehow ends up appearing on someone’s butt.
2. The Fairly Odd Parents, Scary Godparents, (Season 2, Episode 12)
What happens when Timmy wishes he becomes a real monster for Halloween? Or when he accidentally wishes everyone in the neighborhood the same fate? Crazy stuff. Crazy stuff happens.
1. Spongebob Squarepants, Scardy Pants, (Season 1, Episode 26)
My all. time. favorite. Halloween. episode. of. any. show. EVER. Talk about a glow up, Spongebob goes from a Haunted Mattress to a brain wielding, flying dutch-man scaring ghost! Plus I think I say “I’ve come for your pickles” at least five times a day.
