15 Foods That Will Yet Again Make You Feel Nostalgic If You Were A 90s/00s Kid
Good morning everyone! Today I decided per usual to take a trip down memory lane and distract ourselves a little bit from pandemic talk. So lets take a look at even more foods that will definitely make you remember your childhood days if you were a 90s/00s kid! You all seem to love my nostalgia posts and honestly I love making them! Please let me know in the comments if you’d like me to focus on a different nostalgia era or trend! Until then, enjoy!
When I was little I was never truly a bagel girl. Something about them never appealed to me especially since I hated cream cheese as a kid. It wasn’t really until middle school when going to Panera after school was considered ‘cool’ that I started to love them. That being said, I never tried these and I’m curious on people’s opinion of them cause from the pictures they look pretty good.
14. Eggo Waf-Fulls
Okay so let me start by saying that I never tried these specific kind of Eggo Waffles, BUT that being said, Eggo Waffles were literally my LIFE as a child. Like give me a box and call me Eleven, because it was an obsession I swear. My breakfast consisted of the Nutrigrain Eggo Waffles and I swear if I had any other type placed in front of me, I would throw a fit. Looking back now though, these versions of Eggo look amazing! Totally should have tried them.
13. Fruit Twistables
Pretty sure I tried them like once and just pulled the flavors apart because I use to hate mixing fruit gummy flavors together (I was a weird kid I know). After that I just stuck with fruit snacks or regular fruit roll ups. Either way I remember the commercial with the weird twisty guy and the (blueberry?) fruit army like it was yesterday.
12. Great Bluedini Kool-Aid
Always hated Kool-Aid or any fruit punch related beverage (didn’t even really like any type of fruit juice either!), so I never had any of these packets. But I will admit the colors were so cool it use to make me wish I liked the taste solely to drink it.
11. Doritos 3-D
I use to remember seeing commercials for these all the time but I don’t think I ever actually tried them. Odds are they were more expensive than the regular Doritos so there was no point in buying them just because they were ‘3-D.’ Cool Ranch Doritos for the win thought.
10. Jell-O Pudding Bites
Pudding for some reason as a kid (even to this day really) use to freak me out. Definitely a consistency/texture thing. I did love frozen pudding pops though. When it came to these bites I had the same texture issue as regular pudding, but I was always fascinated by the look of them. Ya know when something just looks like it would taste good and doesn’t? That’s how it was with these things.
9. Milk N’ Cereal Bars
When I was lucky and finally convinced my mom to buy me a box of these bad boys, I was OBSESSED with the Cherrios one. It was sooooo good. Something about the cream in the middle that was suppose to be milk was unreal. So good. Then it usually turned into ‘you don’t need them just have regular cereal.’
8. Reese’s Swoops (And All The Other Hershey’s)
Not going to lie, these always looked gross to me. In real life and just from the pictures. In person they always seemed to be a melted mess and I was always convinced when I was little that there was a chip in the middle, which just made the lack of interest in them intensify. Aka I never tried them and honestly probably still wouldn’t even today.
7. French’s Potato Sticks
Now these were greasy goodness that I could barely get my hands on. Like they were so good don’t get me wrong but as soon as my mom read the ingredients and nutritional facts on the back, we never had them again. I mean it’s obvious they weren’t good for you, but when she realized just how bad they were they were removed from our household. I don’t blame her, the amount of grease that ended up on my hands after was gross.
6. Cheetos Twisted Puffs, Cacker Trax, And X’s & O’s
Loved me some twisted puffs. It was the only kind of Cheetos that I would eat. Every other kind was inferior. I will admit though, the X’s & O’s ones were fun to play tic tac toe with.
5. Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Cheesasaurus Rex
I literally saw a nostalgia article on Buzzfeed with these bad boy on a box of Kraft and I swear it unlocked memories from my brain that I completely forgot existed. Like I remember all these commercials now that I see the Cheesasaurus. I had forgotten that Kraft even had a mascot-like character up until last week! #BringBackCheesasaurus
4. Fruit String Thing
These were fun, but I was the kid that would only eat the string part or the shape and ignore the chewy fruit snack boarder. Thus wasting about half of it. Thus making them useless for my parents to continue buying. Anyone else?
3. Ritz S’mores
Never had this kind of Ritz per say. I was much more of an original or PB filled Ritz kinda girl. Still am.
2. AirHeads Xtremes Sweetly Sour Rolls
Talk about sickly sweet goodness that would give me a stomachache every dang time but I would still continue to beg my parents for them on special occasions. I would eat the entire strip knowing it would make me feel sick because they were just that good. Don’t even get me STARTED on the sour green apple knock off brands flavor. Or Watermelon. YUM.
1. Pillsbury Waffle Sticks (With The Dippin’ Cups) & Eggo Legos
This once again goes back to my earlier discussion about my unnatural obsession with Nutrigrain Eggo Waffles. My parents tried to convince me that other versions of frozen waffles were good by buying me both of these over time and I refused to eat them. I played with the Lego ones and yes the waffle sticks were convenient; but I learned from an early age that if they looked different then they weren’t my nutrigrain eggo and I would automatically assume I wouldn’t like them. Half the time I wouldn’t even try them or I’d take one bite and refuse. Except I will be honest I did hate the taste of the Buttermilk or Homestyle ones, something about them were almost too sweet for me. I was a very picky child if you couldn’t tell by now.
