Disneyland

Now that my senior year is in full swing, it’s definitely going to be harder to keep up with this blog, but I am determined to keep it going for as long as I can! For those of you that don’t know, my cousin and I decided to plan a spontaneous dream trip for the end of August. Where did we go you might ask? Did the title give it away? Well I can say that it has always been a dream of mine to see where it all started; I had never been to Disneyland and I wanted to walk in Walt’s footsteps. So with a great package deal and a crazy scheme to accomplish a trip to California in five days, we booked it. So fast forward to about a month and a half ago (we decided on this trip back in like April) and we were off! After a horrible 3 hour delay, a six hour flight to LAX, a three hour time difference, AND an hour bus ride to our hotel, you could say we were pretty spent.

After a quick trip to Downtown Disney for some of the best gluten free fish tacos of my life (with sweet potato fries of course), we headed back to the hotel and fell asleep at 7pm (once again gotta love Jet Lag). The next morning was the day we had been waiting months for! It was finally time to go to Disneyland! Throughout our trip we made an effort to hit all of the famous spots as well as try all of the best food. The link below shows some highlights of our trip as well as some ride-throughs.

Overall it was amazing but there was definitely some points I want to highlight. In comparison to Disney World it is definitely smaller. Okay, yes, most people already knew this, I already knew this, but you don’t realize just how much of a drastic difference it is until you experience it for yourself. Second, the rides are longer, lines are shorter, and some characters roam free! What is this sorcery!? The food also has many more allergy friendly as well as HEALTHIER options compared to the World. Lastly, Disney World will always be my second home and when you enter Disney World you feel as though you have entered the Disney bubble. When it comes to Disneyland, you don’t really get that bubble of magic effect because of the close proximity to the city surrounding it. Overall it was an amazing experience, but Disney World will always hold the top place in my heart!
