Hello Everyone! I just wanted to make a brief post on everything that has been happening lately! For everyone who has not seen my most recent update, I’M GOING BACK TO DISNEY WORLD! Not as a guest but as a Cast Member yet again! I will be doing the college program again but this time around I will be doing Merchandising! But this time is also very different from the last because I am an Alumni.
It might not seem like being an Alumni should make the program any different, and in some cases it doesn’t, but in a lot of ways being an Alumni comes with a certain advantage. First of all, you’re not left in the dark during the waiting period for the program to start. Unlike the first time around, you know what to expect and the exciting future that awaits you. The excitement of knowing you’re going to work for Disney is about the same as the first time, maybe even more because you know it’s going to be a blast!
You also know how the first couple of days are going to go and when you will find out about certain vital program details such as housing accommodations and work locations. It’s almost a little more reassuring knowing what I know now verse how unknowing I was prior to my first program.
Lastly, there are the perks of the knowing what to expect with your phone interview and the reassurance that the phone interviewer already knows that you are a hard worker due to your past program. There is more of a likelihood of getting accepted and there is even a chance to request your dream role and location. You also have a better idea of what you want and what you are looking for in a roommate! And of course the chance that you will already know people down there once you go back!!!! Reunited and it feels so goodddddddd.
Anyways, be on the lookout for a whole new set of future posts about what it is like doing the program again from the Alumni perspective as well as the DCP Tag Round 2 and the Disney Tag Round 2 after my prior program knowledge!
The other thing I would like to discuss and some exciting roommate news! SABRINA AND EMILY HAVE RECENTLY BEEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM AS WELL AND THANKS TO DISNEY MAGIC WE ALL MAGICALLY GOT THE SAME ARRIVAL DATE. Dreams really do come true!!!! Also many of my past program friends have reapplied or are still in Florida and I cannot wait to see so many familiar faces again! I cannot wait to bring you all on this new adventure with me!
